03/24/2020 3:15 EST: network issue in Dallas has been resolved. However, server got stuck after reboot with FSCK warnings on primary disk. We ran File System Check and then repaired corrupted sectors. Server is online and running.
Server uptime is our top priority, especially during COVID-19 outbreak. Many customers rely on email communications and need websites up and running 24/7. "barracuda" server has been online since February 2015. On one hand, there are no hardware issues (we ran stress tests on hardware tonight). On the other hand, we cannot afford another downtime. Similar issue occurred in April 2019: server was down for more than 6 hours.
We're currently looking into new server replacement. Please note that supply chains are limited and there are certain delays. It's difficult to find spare DDR4 memory and SSD (data center edition) but we'll do everything possible to bring new server online by April 21st. Please stay tuned for more updates (we'll post updates within helpdesk.westnic.net and also within WHM).
